Dr. Viet X Le
MD, PhD

State of California License since 2002

Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry

Dr. Le is board certified in adult psychiatry. Dr. Le has nearly 2 decades of experience of providing adult and adolescent psychiatric care in diverse community settings.

Dr. Le graduated from the UC Davis School of Medicine and adult residency psychiatry program at the Stanford University Hospital. He returned to the Sacramento area after a near 20-year practice in Santa Clara county. He joined Family Psychiatry Center in June 2018.

Dr. Le believes the most important tool at the psychiatrist’s disposal is empathic non-judgmental listening. Whether a patient struggles with depression, anxiety, mania, PTSD, or psychotic symptoms, this tool is most powerful in developing treatment strategy for symptoms stabilization and problem resolution for the patient.

Prior to embarking on the calling to care for patients with psychiatric needs, Dr. Le had a successful career in aerospace engineering. He graduated with a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California.

Dr. Le enjoys spending time with his family, music, and travel. He is a trained opera singer and occasionally performs in concert.
